Mob Protesters Right or Wrong :: miscellaneous

Mob Protesters Right or WrongEssay Outline My essay is only around one thousand five 100 words long and in that one and a half thousand words I must give points of views from both sides as well as a introduction and this Essay Outline. The first opinion I testament write about is the opinions of the labour supporters, saying how They suffered because of the petrol protests, the rights wrongs and how the wrongs were or tried to be sorted out and how long it took. Also in labours defence I shall write about how Tony Blair thinks that a cut in fuel tax will cause more problems in the future. Also I will right about the opinions of the petrol protesters, how they ar helping the nation on the over taxed fuel, because they are not doing the protests for fun (although they might look fun). The newspapers I read showed what Tony Blair said about his taxing but where most of it was lies or misleading. Also what he rattling did with our taxes and how some of it just went to waste like how he cut 140 road improvements programs to only 37 or how his ten- stratum 180billion partnership with John Prescott took tree age to sort out. Is this because of his poor money management or is he getting an extra million or two in his pocket each year? These important points might creep up with some more in my essay. But to end my essay I shall Finnish with a conclusion that contains an general view of the essay. A thanks to where I got all my information for the essay, how the essay developed and how my point of view developed as I learnt more on what happens to our taxes while labour is ruling parliament. But most importantly asking the reader the question I was given, but a little briefer, should we wait for an option to sort out the taxation problems or should we stand up and demand lower taxes to solve the taxation problem. Introduction Should the government have constitutional control over our taxes and we can not do anything about it. Should we be able to stand up for th e taxes we pay or should we wait weeks, months or historic period for another election. Or should we be happy for taxes knowing that its going towards our health, safety and education.

Electricity doesnt grow on trees. It falls from the sky.Beginning in the 1930s and up until the present day British Petroleum has been a major stakeholder in the oil industry. Needless to say it has played a considerable role in bringing Earth to the environmental crisis it now faces, specifically regarding the alarming and harmful rise of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Todays societies tend to be characterized by their greedy corporations and their disconnection from the natural world. These factors can head one with a disheartening sentiment as well as a pessimistic stance on the future state of the earth. Somewhere in the midst of all the gloom a tiny ray of hope beams down from the sky. A new wave of business is taking its first go across our nations, one built on the stones of social and environmental responsibility. British Petroleum is proud to be one of these corporations, dedicating a significant amount of labour toward the global endeavor to clean up our environment. The Stoic Tradition Essay -- Philosophy Religion Essays

The Stoic Tradition In the approximate year of 320 B.C., one could be walking down the road with a high probability of passing a house where several men would be gathered out on the porch. It is likely that this was a company of individuals discussing philosophy. The gatherings became a more common occurrence, and since they would take place out on the porches, the school of philosophy derived from them takes its name from the Greek stoa, or porch. The ideology of that movement is henceforward known as Stoicism. Also, the Stoics energise fall down to use the statement made by Socrates as the cornerstone of their judgments, being that no harm can come to a good man. However, this concept is taken a bit further by the Stoics, as they deduce it to symbolize the eventually complete rejection of worldly things. These things they besides deem things which cannot be controlled. The current inquiry considers some of the chief notions of the Stoics, but more specifically it focuses upon one important question what does it mean to follow reputation for the Stoics? To answer this question, the testimonies of several of the Stoics are pooled and examined together in the end. Not only does this inquisition illustrate chief attributes of Stoicism, but those attributes are eventually evaluated in blank of their coherence as well. One of the main ideas which form part of the answer as to what it means to follow nature for the Stoics is the following of an intended trajectory. As the oak tree strives to achieve its natural form of the best oak tree that it can become, it is upon its natural trajectory of reaching its potential. So too, borrowing from Aristotle, humans have the potential of becoming excellent in their own right through... ...become cattle. This position forms a contradiction between the endeavor to attain human excellence, become a noble being, and the want to give back. This position is, once again, not human. For one cannot become the best possible oak tree and at the same condemnation reach the highest possible potential of a human being. One is either human, or a plant.Works Cited Aurelius, Marcus. Societys Conception of Sex Essay -- Exploratory Essays Research Paper

clubs Conception of Sex The connotation of the word charge up is so vague that it can be manipulated to mean virtually anything, further the definition of the word within society has remained the same. Penetration is the defining factor of sex in its literal sense, however it can be altered to hold a variety of acts. Anthropologist Margaret Mead, and President Clinton found loopholes in the connotation of sex, and used it to the benefit. The context in which Mead used the word was to encompass the various acts that accompany intercourse, such as oral sex, to confirm that Samoan society is far more promiscuous than our own. President Clinton also used the vagueness of the word to his benefit. He manipulated the connotation of sex to only include intercourse, so that he may escape incrimination of adultery and perjury. In both cases the hazy connotation of the word was used as an advantage, but societys definition of the word remained clear. Am I Blue?

English 9-2 7 May 2012 Judged The saying, do non judge a book by its cover is a commonly used saying throughout the years. However, what does the saying really mean? Of course an individual should non be choosing the novel they wish to read just based on the cover of the book. Figuratively speaking, the saying means that one should not prejudge the value of soul just by their physical appearance alone. For many lot, the root of their anxiety stems from the fear of others judging or evaluating them because of they way they look or act.The shortstop stories Am I Blue? by Bruce Coville and thrum by Naomi Shihab Nye both illustrate the uselessness of judging a book by its cover. In the short story Am I Blue? by Bruce Coville, Vince, the main character, discovers that hatful are not always what them seem. In this story Vince, who is questioning his sexuality, is the main prey for harassment because his classmates think he is gay. When Vince receives his very own fairy godfather , he makes a wish that turns everyone who is gay the color blue.Vince is surprised when he sees that many people turn even the slightest shade of blue. The darker the shade, the more gay they are. Vinces fairy godfather tells him, my friends and I called each other faggot and queer for the same reason so many black folks call each other nigger to take the words away from the people who want to use them to hurt us (Coville 10). People who are gay often say words such as, faggot and queer to mask themselves or make those words less destructive to them.As Vince walks around town, he sees all sorts of people who are all different shades of blue. Vince says that it was like seeing the world though new eyes. Most of the people looked just the same as always, of course. But Mr. Alwain, the fat guy at the grocery store, looked like a giant blueberrywhich surprised me, because he was matrimonial and had three kids (Coville 12). When Vince returns home and turns on the television, he is enr aged when he sees the congressman on TV was the shade of a spring sky, who happened to be a notorious republican homophobe (Coville 13).Vince even discovers that the bully picking on him for being gay is also gay himself. People fear others judging or evaluating them because of they way they look or act, so they often put on a facade. How someone acts or looks is not an accurate reflection of who they truly are. In the short story Hum by Naomi Shihab Nye, Sami, the main character discovers what it is like to have others judge him because of the way he looks. Sami and his family move to America from Palestine a few weeks before the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.Sami and his family think their lives are improving. Sami is making friends and adjusting to his new life in America. When 9/11 occurs, it shocks Sami and his family. Sami says that his family had always verbalize out against the suicide bombings that killed Israeli civilians in Palestine. Many Palestinians did. But who could hear them? They were regular people, not politicians. No one quoted them in the news (Nye 74). Sami knows his people are not murderers. No one says the hijackers are Palestinian.Yet because Sami looked so similar to the terrorists in the attack, everyone blames him and his people for what happened. When he goes to school, No one sat with him at lunch now. He act sitting down next to some boys from his PE class and they stopped speaking and stared at him. I feel very bad about what happened Sami said. Nobody answered him. They destroyed eating in silence, exchanging glances with one another, and left the table (Nye 75). When Sami meets a blind man who is his neighbor, the man tells him that some people dont use their informal eyes enough. They forget about them. But therere all I have. In some ways, I think I can see bettor than people who arent blind (Nye 83). Because the man is blind, Sami can become friends with his neighbor without his looks getting in the way. Just because Sami resembles the hijackers from the 9/11 attack does not mean that those are his people. Nor does that mean the Sami himself is responsible for the attack. Both short stories Am I Blue? by Bruce Coville and Hum by Naomi Shihab Nye discuss and illustrate the saying, do not judge a book by its cover. In both of the stories, the main characters face others judging them because of the way they act and look. The saying do not judge a book by its cover means that one should not prejudge the worth or the value of someone just by their physical appearance alone. Am I Blue and Hum both demonstrate this common saying. Works Cited Coville, Bruce. Am I Blue? Am I Blue? Coming Out From The Silence. Ed. Marion Dane Bauer. These in turn help to identify the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform a job. An important factor to note is that in this process, analysis is conducted on the job, not the person, which also results in a description of the job and not the person. There are many different methods/ways to conduct a job analysis. It is dependent on organizational needs and what imaginativenesss are available. Questionnaires, observations and interviews are very common methods. Although individual methods are used exclusively, several can be used in combination, besides the 3 resources listed above there are also the use of surveys as well. It provides information regarding positions in the organization. It is an important topic as well as a vital employment tool which can assist with HR activities and potential and current employees, Job analysis is the systematic study of positions to identify their observable duties and responsibilities, as well as the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform a particular task or group of tasks (Kovac, 2006, p. ). Job analysis can be used in determining training needs by identifying training content, the assessment tests which need to be used to measure the effectiveness of training, the equipment to be used in the training process, and the methods of training. Job Analysis can also be used in compensation to identify the skill levels, the compensable job factors, the work environment, the responsibilities, and the required level of education and salary level. In natural selection procedures, job analysis can be used to identify job duties that n eed to be included in ads of vacant position, the appropriate salary levels for a position, the minimum requirements, the interview questions, the selection tests, the valuation forms, etc. For performance reviews, job analysis can be used to figure out goals and objectives, performance standards, the evaluation criteria, the length of probationary period. (www. ssa. gov Review and Evaluation of Job Analysis Practices) I based my job analysis on these same characteristics stated above, I used the interview, and observation for my job analysis.By visiting my previous employer human resource department and talking with the human resources manager in order to get a go in-site on how they do their job analysis, as well as doing some online research as well as getting information on human resources books. My task and KSA statements are based on the job descriptions of other human resource receptionist positions in my area. Through my research on this particular position I have found th at every business or company has several different descriptions of what their human resource receptionist does based on the type of business that it is.Even though a lot of the descriptions were the same for corporations and larger business for the most part, smaller businesses that did have this position seemed to lack in the job description of their human resource receptions and had other job descriptions for them like working large equipment. This project has definitely taught me more than I ever knew about human resources and what they really do I didnt realize how much work went into the Human Resources Department of a business.
